now a professor and supervisor of Ph.D in West China School of Public Health in Sichuan University, which is former West China University of Medical Sciences (WCUMS).
Expertise fields: Nutrition and Food Safety, especially in food safety risk assessment, assessment of novel food and function food, and food toxicology.
He has worked in Sichuan University till 1986, specializing in nutrition, food safety and toxicology. He had pursued further research of genetic toxicology in National Institute of Health in Japan as a visiting scholar from 1994 to 1996. He was the vice dean of West China School of Public Health for a decade. He has been in charge of over thirty scientific projects at national and ministerial level and won eight science/technology awards. He has published more than 300 academic papers, developed 10 national standards, editing/writing over 20 teaching material and monographs.
